This project is a collaboration among Sensing Local, Janaagraha, Doddanekundi Rising, Banaswadi Rising, and YLAC. An efficient blending of technical expertise along with active citizen participation to transform certain parts of the city is the design challenge here. The ultimate goal of this project is to gather brilliant ideas to solve the concern and have the winners start the work from the base.
– Pocket Home – A tiny abode amidst the dense concrete jungle

The architectural competition titled Pocket Home is all about designing modular pocket homes on an urban residual plot of land in a dense urban city. The idea proposed should be modular and temporary since the land would be available only for a short period of time as the aim is to provide living space to people on a rental basis. The design can be unconventional with innovative form, layout and elements to maximize the available space.

The competition launched by Archiframe s looking for a residential building that will serve as the basis for a new kind of prefabricated community. The ultimate goal of the design challenge is to create a livable and innovative house design that makes the most of available building materials, by acknowledging their creative and sustainable potential.

The design challenge aims at finding better ideas and mechanisms to take sustainable living further ahead through ultra-small living spaces, minimalistic lifestyles, and self-sustained off-grid communities. The tiny house project is about a global housing village that has more than one size of homes to accommodate young families of 2-4 people size. Participants are supposed to submit three variations of designs (of prefabricated designs) with the following specifications: – 15 houses for couples without kids,
– 15 houses for couples with one kid and
– 10 houses for couples with 2 kids (all the three variations has to be built around a single theme or form)
The goal of the project is to bring maximum privacy for the family in the design and at the same time incorporate all the essential elements for a home ranging from a living room, kitchen, dining area, bathroom, and the sufficient number of bedrooms in this limited area.
