Time Management in Architecture !!!
How important do you think is time management in architecture?
Well, our team says 200% out of the experience.
Complex architecture projects demand both strong creativity and management skills and well it’s no different even in your college days.
B.Arch is worldwide known not only for its creativity and subject brilliance but also for the never-ending project submissions and hectic student schedules. If you are someone who believes things will get better with time, we are here to remind you once again, that nothing is going to change, and it’s just that you find your own ways to cope up with the stress.
Spending too much time on creating sheets and losing out time for the rest and things similar to that are common enough scenarios during your college life. But don’t you also think efficient time management can lessen your struggles and stress to a greater extent??
Let us look at some practically feasible tips that worked out pretty fruitful inside the team.
1. Eliminate distractions
Internet and various other mobile applications are often useful, but try once working on your project by keeping it aside. Developing a habit of using the internet as per the need can create significant change.
2. Multitasking is a skill, but not always
Multi-tasking is great, but focussing on one task at a time is capable of creating positive output. Moreover, it puts you in a proper state of an efficient workflow.
3. Maintain a work-life balance
Skipping all the other fun activities due to submissions and deadlines is equally bad as producing bad work. Your degree life is supposed to be a perfect blend of everything and maintaining a balance between your personal life and academic life is very much important even for your emotional well-being.
4. Plan your week in advance
Distributing time for each task depending on the priority scale and planning your week in advance and striving to stick to it can create a great positive impact. Following the schedule as it is and moving ahead as per plan is nearly impossible. But there is always the option to complete the work as per the need regardless of the unexpected interruptions that walk by you.
5. Create a reasonable schedule
Large amount of work in so little time just results in inefficient work. You should be kind enough to yourself to give reasonably enough time for each task depending on its toughness.
6. Editings are never meant for later
Keeping your editing work for later is as miserable as no work produced. This is one place where most of them fail and it is really important to take care of this. Project editings should always be done then and there as it really avoids a lot of juggling in the end moment.
Things might not always go as planned but trying the best to achieve what has been planned quotes for success. Last but not the least, never forget to keep some spare time towards the end, because we never know what comes next.
